

Prop Data and Lightstone Care Foundation deliver warmth on Nelson Mandela Day
To honour Nelson Mandela Day, Prop Data, a leading proptech and digital marketing agency, partnered with the Lightstone Care Foundation in their annual winter blanket drive. On 18 July 2025, donated blankets were distributed to vulnerable communities across South Africa, helping to bring warmth and dignity to those in need on what would have been Madiba’s 107th birthday.
Celebrating Nelson Mandela Day
Nelson Mandela Day is a global call to action to inspire individuals and organisations to make a difference in their communities, continuing the humanitarian’s legacy of compassion, justice, and service. As the Nelson Mandela Foundation puts it, the day reminds everyone to “recognise their individual power to make an imprint and help change the world around them for the better.”
This year’s theme, #ItIsInYourHands, encouraged South Africans to continue the fight against poverty and inequality — a message that Prop Data took to heart.
On a mission to give back
“At Prop Data, our work with property practitioners keeps us closely connected to the communities they serve,” said Anne Lütge, COO at Prop Data. “Getting behind the Lightstone Care Foundation’s blanket drive was our way of reflecting on Madiba’s values and making a meaningful change in the lives of others. It’s a campaign that aligns perfectly with the human side of what we do.”
Founded in 2014, the Lightstone Care Foundation supports a wide range of causes, including orphanages, feeding schemes, shelters for abused women and children, and schools for disabled and autistic learners. Their annual winter drive is just one of their many initiatives designed to uplift those facing hardships.
Teamwork makes the dream work
The Prop Data team rallied together, raising funds to purchase 21 blankets. In a generous show of support, the Lightstone Care Foundation matched every donation, effectively doubling the impact and spreading even more comfort this winter.
Having previously contributed to community outreach efforts like East Coast Radio’s Toy Story campaign, the team was eager to roll up their sleeves again for a cause that reflects the spirit of Mandela Day.
